Dr. Ronald Phillips graduated from the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo, with an O.D. degree and a B.Sc. Hon. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Phillips joined an established practice which dated to the early 1940s in the downtown Guelph area.
He treats patients of all ages with all types of visual challenges. Whether fitting contact lenses for a teenager or monitoring macular degeneration in a senior,
Dr. Phillips tries to give the highest level of care. In fact, most months both doctors attend post-graduate seminars or courses just to stay on top of the best practices and newest research. He treats pre and post-LASIK surgery patients and also follows those with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration or diabetes to ensure that their vision remains at optimum level for as long as possible.
Dr. Phillips is married to his current partner in the practice, Dr. Carol Dalziel. Upon graduation from the Waterloo University School of Optometry with B.Sc. (Hon.) and O.D. degrees, she worked for several years on the Clinical Faculty at the School of Optometry.
Dr. Dalziel has her M.Sc. degree in Physiological Optics and has special interests in Binocular Vision training and vision exercise treatment.
She joined the practice when their young son entered school. Her youngest patient has been a two-day-old baby boy, and her eldest patient is now 103 years of age. Dr. Dalziel has an affinity for children, and they love coming to see her!
Both Dr. Phillips and Dr. Dalziel strive to create an atmosphere where patients of all ages feel welcome and safe, and where they know that their care will be the top priority.
